Campaign 1

Hi,

Well it looks like Campaign 1 has already been distributed. I was hoping to start selling Avon in January and get a start with Campaign 1. Oh, well. I will be going ahead anyway. Maybe It'll be a Campaign 2 or 3 start. The catalogues are really being pumped out quickly! I believe it is since March of 2008 that Canada has been receiving Avon catalogues every two weeks.
My plan is after all the dust settles from Christmas to call up a local Avon Representative, whom may I add has Huge plans for her Avon business, and have her sign me up. The products are so fantastic, I am busting at the seems with excitement to be part of Direct Marketing again.

Cheers,
Kim

Stella And Dot

Hey, I wanted to talk a little about Luxe Jewels By Stella and Dot. Have you heard of them? It is a Party Plan Company that sells Jewelery. It looks to me like one of the better Jewelry party plan businesses out there. The Chief Creative Officer Blythe Harris has an impressive resume that you can read about in the catalogue. Her influence comes from different cultures around the world such as Mexico and Paris.
Stella and Dot offers many different collections for many different tastes. Many items are Sterling Silver or 14kt gold-plated *vermeil. They have "Just for Girls" necklace kits that includes everything needed to make a girl's necklace. As well, there are sterling silver alphabet charms and unique sentiment charms. There are different rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and what I think is great are the removable Stone Pendants to go with their burnished Link chains, as well as many other different styles of chains.

Stella and Dot offers trendy and classic style at a wide range of price points all suited for a fun, fashion forward, sophisticated stylish gal.
It will cost you $139.00 CAN for a custom starter kit. After that you have 7 days to spend another $175 on samples. That's another $350 in retail products at 50% off. The commission you will earn by selling Stella and Dot products is 25-30%. The company offers travel opportunities, incentives, and a BMW.

There really is alot of info on the Company Website about business opportunities. Personally, I like to stay focused on the MLM's products and quality, cause if the products stink, or are too expensive I wouldn't want to sell them and don't recommend anyone else sell them.

I really can't say enough great things about what I've learned of this company so far. I will keep updating the portion of Stella and Dot Blog, as I learn more. I have a gut feeling this one is the next huge hit in Party Plan. This company is obviously very intriguing to me!
The only thing I find a little confusing is their name it's; Luxe Jewels by Stella and Dot. I have noticed some of the personalized websites of the stylists are just "Luxe Jewels" but, when you research more of the company info, the company refers to itself as "Stella and Dot". I'm not crazy about that, maybe it's just me. Anyway if you google Stella and Dot you are sure to be directed to a site full of info and products. Have fun.

Just thought I'd let you know about another favorite of mine!

*"And now for our finale, vermeil . (pronounced vur-may) Vermeil is produced by coating sterling silver with carat gold. A base metal is never used. Sometimes referred to as gilded silver, vermeil is made using the process of electrolysis — electricity and an acid bath — to attach the gold to sterling. To be considered vermeil, the gold must also be at least 10-carat and be at least 1.5 micrometers thick. This layer of gold is thicker than that applied using the electroplating process and will far outwear a gold plated item."

I "borowed" the above paragraph about vermeil from Danielle Redner's Stella and Dot Website. Thanks, Danielle.

Campaign 26

So, I believe Campaign 26 is the last Campaign of the year.
I have been thinking about signing on as an Avon representative in the New Year! I'm looking forward to it. I talked to my representative about it and she is loving what Avon has to offer her and I really miss being involved with Avon myself so, why not?

Cheers!

Some pic's of the winter we're having

Anew Cleanser

I've given the Anew Cleanser a try and I of course...Love it. I didn't realize it had teeny tiny granules in it for exfoliating. That's an added bonus because in the winter I always like to exfoliate to remove any dry skin. I also find that it is not at all drying, which is something that I was a little worried about it being. So I give it a 10.

Recieved order!

YAY! I recieved my campaign 25 order. I ordered a couple of X-mas presents for people. One that is really nice is the Heavenly Angel Birthstone Tack Pin. I might order one more for a present cause it turned out so nice. I also recieved the Berry Mint Foot Works Gift Set and it is great with the gift tag and ribbon. I might get another for a present!
That's what great about Avon, you can always back order a campaign or two to recieve previous deals.
I know in my last post I said I would put up pictures of the winter weather we are having, still working on it....
talk to you again,
Kim

I recieved my new catalogue today!

I received campaign 26 today. The Avon Lady left it in a nice plastic bag which is great so the snow didn't hurt it at all.
Guess who is on the cover? Patrick Dempsey! He is soo handsome. Ya I'd say handsome is the right word. Do you remember him in Can't But Me Love? He was the lawn boy turned hottie.
I just sampled Unscripted on the inside cover. That's the Eau de Toilette Spray that he is promoting - it's great! It smell comforting like you want to give whoever is wearing it a big hug.
I've been using Skin so Soft lately. I like Skin So Soft fusions Dual Softening Body Moisturizer in the soft and sensual scent. It's not greasy and it's great after a shower. I put some on my daughter after her bath yesterday and she seemed to like it too. She's 3. A little goes a long way so you definitely get your money's worth out of it. Although I think in general I am attracted to Avon because your money goes a long way and the quality of the products is usually great.
So now I'm going to spend time with the kids and look at my new catalogue.

Today there is alot of snow outside I'm going to take a picture and post it tomorrow.

Cheers,
Kim

Passion Parties

Well, like I said in my Introduction. Throughout this Blog I will be reviewing other MLM's. So here is one worth mentioning - Passion Parties. I really like the professionalism that this company oozes. Commissions for a Passion Party Consultant is 40 percent right off the bat. This 40 percent continues throughout you career with Passion Parties. Not bad, eh?
The company has two product catalogues one that is on the mild side, carrying lotions and potions and the other catalogue carrying products for the more adventurous at heart!
Of course this company is a Home Party company so most of the sales are done through home parties for friends and neighbours.
Talk to you soon!

Cheers,
Kim

there i did it!

I added a page element and then downloaded pic from my computer.

Sorry to add this technical stuff but it's been on my mind for a couple of days!

Trying new things on my blog

Well, I'm just trying out a couple of options for my blogs. My main focus is avoncustomers.blogspot.com

I took a couple of pictures of a mug with some lipstick on it. I'm hoping to put that picture in the title.

I hope it turns out!

Backordered Eyeliner!

Back in "93, I was so excited to become an Avon Rep. I really don't remember what I thought would happen with my business I just remember being excited that I took the plunge to start selling it.
To continue the story about Sandy.... her eyeliner was back ordered. I gave her a call the day after my failed attempted at telling her in person. I had to recover from my near anxiety attack. I didn't have her product. I was so nervous.....funny. Looking back it was not a big deal at all. I think because she was one of my first few new customers and, I wanted to make a great start with no hurtles to climb. After all even though there are many Avon sales people out there we all get into the business because of an entrepreneurial spirit and we don't want this business to fail. So I took this eyeliner situation very seriously.
So...I Gave her the call she said,"no problem." Done. whew.

I believe I received the eyeliner with my next order and all was good, except I ordered a few more items for myself than I should have! I love the stuff, all those little colorful bottles full of bubble bath, I couldn't help myself.

The moral of my little story is if you are going to start out an adventure with Avon, don't get discouraged off the bat and expect set backs. Oh and don't order too much personal stuff at one time!

Till next time.

Becoming An Avon Rep

So to continue my story from the other day about how I got my feet wet with Avon...

I had a few customers from my building. One lady who I thought had a fantastic apartment, she lent us a Huge 1960's fan because it was soo hot and humid in our basement apartment. And another who lived on the 2nd floor...
Sandy who lived on the third floor ordered an eyeliner and a mascara. I remember her total was about $5 and I was just so happy to have gotten the order, cause it proved O.K. this can really work I just need more customers and this can be a fun adventure roaming about my neighbourhood.
I placed the orders and Whamo there was a glitch no one told me about... there was a back order! Aghhh Sandy was not going to get her eyeliner. "What happens now?" I remember being stressed out about this eyeliner. "This is not part of my plan." My business venture was supposed to go a lot smoother...blah blah...
I went upstairs to her apartment knocked on the hallow metal door, once knock, knock ...echo, echo, twice....no one was home. Good I don't have to worry about telling Sandy about the back ordered eyeliner. I'll call her tomorrow.

Till next time,

Cheers,
Kim

Mark Speedway

Hi,

well yesterday afternoon when I went to pick my daughter up from school, I didn't get such a great parking spot!! I had to catapult my two youngest into the snowbank while I grabbed the stroller, avoiding traffic! Lost my middle child in a herd of people, vice Principal held onto her while yelling over the tops of heads as they were slowly being pulled away in the mad rush......"I have her..." I just waited a second or two for the mad rush to clear and held on tight while the school buses whizzed by inches away from our feet.
Craziness!!

Anyway through it all I've managed to have a good try of the Speedway Foundation stick. It is a multi use foundation. Mark sells it, and it's great! When I first received it I thought hmmmm it seems a little small. After using it for a few days I realized a little goes a long way so I give it an 8 out of 10.

see you next time!

Back in time

Good morning,

So far I'm having a great day! I dropped my daughter off at school with the other two in tow and it was fairly smooth. Usually when I drop her off it's chaotic and next to impossible to find any sort of parking. Once I do find the parking I have to dump all three kids in a snowbank next to where I've parked (in a no parking zone) Grab the stroller for my little one and fight a mad rush of people. I've decided it is worth it to leave an extra fifteen minutes early to get a handle on the kids and the parking. you see, If I leave early I get 1 of the 7 spaces reserved for parents dropping their kids off. Mind you, it is school "policy" to wait until all the kids and buses are no where to be found before leaving school property but, at least I don't have to catapult all three kids into a snowbank to avoid oncoming traffic on a busy side street! I guess it is another one of those thing we as parents deal with on a daily basis.
So, I just felt like logging on to let my readers know a little about my past experiences as an Avon representative. I remember when my husband and I moved to Barrie way back..in 1993. He came to start College and I just wanted a change of scenery before deciding what to do with my future. I decided I wanted to give Avon a try! How excited I was! We lived in a basement apartment, in an area of town where there were a few town houses and other apartment buildings. I set up an appointment with an Avon "Mentor" and thought this is going to be soooo much fun! I paid the small fee to join and recieved some business supplies and samples. I definetly had some fun meeting customers in my building. I remember one customer, my first customer ordered an eyeliner and some mascara. I was so Happy and Gratefull. I placed the order with my Mentor and was in off or so I thought......Gotta Go Kids Need Mommy I will continue my story next time. Till then enjoy your Day!!

Cheers,
Kim
