Stella and Dot has bags!
Hi, Goodmorning!
Looks like a nice sunny hot day - yeah.
I was just checking e-mail. I noticed stella and dot sent me an e-mail incicating they are now selling bags. That's a nice addition to their jewelery line. I guess they have a few Soho bags and some clutches. They seem O.K. I glanced quick. Alot of neutral colors which is good for everyday matchy matchy looks. I like to go a little crazy personally with bags. I think I get that from my Mom. with her artsy fartsy looks. - Colourful bags and purses. It is always nice to add some flair right? What is that Jennifer Anisten movie where she has to add flair to her wairtessing smock? That is funny. Anyway, I do like the Stella bags overall. I also checked out the Stella and Dot charms now those, I love.

Awaiting August Order!
Hi, everyone! Hope you are having a great summer, I know I am. It's nice to still have another 2 months left of hot sunny weather.
I placed my Avon Order a couple of days ago. I am looking forward to seeing the products. I ordered from the Mark Maglog this time. I got the "keep it going" longwear eyeliner and shadow combo, in the color "exposure". the color is basicaly a dark brown eyeliner and a light brown eyeshadow. I am fair complection so this will be a natural look for me ( or anyone for that matter). I usually order a bit of color for my eyes but this time I wanted to keep it simple. I usually also go for pinks in lipstick and blush but lately I'm thinking peaches. I couldn't decide on a blush so, maybe next time. I also ordered a eyeliner brush from the Avon Catalog. I noticed the Maglog was pumping the eyeliner brush to go with the "keep it going" combo but, it was double the price in the Maglog. I'm not sure of the quality difference. Hopefully the one I order from the Avon catalog is OK.
gotta go!

Neighbourhood - Suburbs
I guess nowadays we really don't have to leave our house for a whole lot of stuff. We can order things on line.
I think that is part of the reason Avon and other home party companies do well. It brings a sense of community to the neighbourhood when your rep drops by the house to bring you an eyeliner of lipstick. I mean really, I can just drive down the road and pick up the neccessaties when I have a free moment;which is never! That is why I like having an Avon Rep. I can sit in the backyard with my four kids and look at a brochure while I'm handing out apple slices and answering the phone. Then I simply write a cheque to the rep when she drops by the house.
But, MLM's are about more then that. I think with the way Suburban houses are popping up all over North America we are becoming less and less involved with each other.
This has been bothering me. You see my family lives in the suburbs and for the most part I really enjoy it. We live close to amenities, which we take advantage of. Although, I do find myself going for walks and notice people bringing their kids to school and sometimes people won't make eye contact as they elbow your child on to the grass of a suburban front lawn. What is up with that? We have neighbours living right next to us and they hang out in their front driveway. When they see us coming they "hide" in the garage till' we are out of sight. Weird? Do I smell? Or is this the way suburbia has become because we are forced to live 10 feet from each other and it is just too squishy. I may have an extreme case. Yesterday my neighbours son watched me load the kids in the van and he basically was spying on me. Riding his bike slowly in front of our house. Then when I looked up to say Hi, he looked the other way. When I proceeded to drive away he went full tilt after my van to possibly see which direction I turned when I got to the end of the street? I don't know. I think I live next door to the Adams Family? Anyone else?

Strappy Shoes
Hey, Happy Belated Mother's Day! Hope you all had a great weekend!
My kids made some great crafts and cards for me at school. After I opened my Mother's Day gifts we went to swim class then off to the Garden Centre. We bought some Oriental Lilies : Salmon Stargazers and yellow ones called Conca D'or. We also bought some Coral Bells (small flowering shrub) and a golden leaved Hosta ( small type). Oh, and two tiny Lavender plants. I have never planted Lavender before. I've read up on it and it seams finicky. Hopefully I can figure the sandy soil situation out for the Lavender. I would love to see it in the front of my house. You'll notice a few posts down that I have a picture of my front yard;looking out from my front door. I plan to put a couple of those plants down the front walk way. I may put the Lavender in two pots, so that I can put it in the shed in the winter. Under my front window I have 3 huge Hosta's that grow great because of the shade that I get from the house there. I spent the last day digging up the side of my walk way preparing for more plants. I would love to just chuck all the sod I dug up in the forest across the street. I know someone will see me and call the "gardening police" so, I will have to put it in paper bags at the end of the driveway and hope the pickup is soon. I have no idea how often those green trucks come by to pick up garden waste. Anyway. Wish me luck with my gardening adventures!
My son, is off with hubby to meet our new soccer team. My hubby is coaching this year:) Soo cute.
So, I placed an order for some awsome funcky strappy, high heeled shoes from Avon. I have a wedding to go to at the end of May. Hopefully the shoes come in before then. I also ordered a chiffon polka dot dress from Reitmans. - Online. It was delived in less than 24 hours. It must have came from the local store and not the wharehouse. It fit. I look about 6 months pregnant in it. I guess that is the body you get after giving birth to an 11 pound baby, four months ago. Ouch! I actually had a panic attack from the pain. Not fun. for anyone who says giving birth doesn't hurt too much. Try recovering from carrying an 11 pound baby when your hips are the size of a 12 year olds. Mother nature has a weird sense of humour. Ha.
I'm rambling. That is the joy of blogging!!

got my order in from Mark
Hi, I received my Mark order yesterday! Too early to tell about how well the Berry Grand Super Exfoliating beads work but I love the no place to run eyeliner in Steely gaze. The eyeliner goes on easily and dries almost like a wet eyeliner. I don't know about you but, I hate some cheap eyeliners that are as tuff as bricks and don't apply any color/pigment. This eyeliner applies color quick and easy.
My rep originally told me you don't have to purchase the exfoliating beads and milk cleanser together. I guess she double checked that and realized you do so, she threw in the calming effect milk cleanser with the beads! How nice! I still think it would be O.K. if you purchased the beads separately for a quick exfoliate. I know years ago the body shop sold a nice grind of herbs that you just added water to and applied it on your face. ...I miss that...it was a little different than this cranberry exfoliator. Oh well, I still recommend the Mark one.

Mark eyeliner
Well, I placed my order. yippeee. I don't know why I get so excited about AVON ;very Bizare. I think it all stems from those cute little lipstick samples - way back in 84' - Impressionable age?!
I just ordered the longwear eyeliner in the color steely glaze. Curious about that. Oh, the white on looks pretty cool if you apply it in the inside corners of your eyes. Hmmm. I think I'll stick with the basics for now. I also ordered the Berry scrub. It looks like fun. It seems like a dry powder that you apply on to your wet face/body. It's rich in antioxidants - hopefully that can help out my MOM arms a little. - They are a little bumpy on the back of the bi-cepts. How annoying.
I did have to dig out the kids winter coats again! There is just a light dusting of snow on the ground. The temperature this week looks like it will hover around 0 degrees celcius. Just in case you wanted to know the temperature here in Central Ontario (Canada) LOL. Close to Toronto. Where Charlie Sheen recently was!!! Winnnnnning!

Arghhh It's snowing!
It's snowing! We usually get one blast of snow in the middle of April and here it is! Hopefully it melts by tomorrow. I put most of the kids winter clothes away in a closet in the basement and I really don't feel like getting it all back out again.
Oh - just in case you aren't sure about Canadian weather: we do get 4 seasons. Our summer's are usually quite hot. 84 - 94 Celcuis is common in July and August. The heat just takes a while to get here. - Can't wait:) Although, when it get's here I usually wan't it to be cooler. Oh well!

Mark
Hello, Goodmorning
I feel like saying hello today.
I'm going to Wallmart to get all four of the kids pictures taken together. Right now they are bouncing basketballs off each others heads. Hopefully in the next hour or two I can trim bangs and do baths and get them dressed in their Sunday best and head out.
I never get to finish a whole cup of coffee anymore:( Although, I never drank coffee before kids!
Anyway, I think I will order some "supplies" from Mark in the next day or so. Looking forward to it! Yeah!

I have a new avon rep!
I just got a bunch of Avon brochures delivered to my door today! Yeah!
I love looking at the new stuff and to see what new deals they are offering. I also received a Mark magazine.
Now to narrow down what I want to order. This is the hard part. Sometimes I jusst want everything and then I don't want to spend $100 so, I put the brochure down and never get back to it. I am determined to not over spend but get some essentials. My arms have been bugging me lately. I don't know what the deal is there but, I think I am going to order some kind of scrub. Other than that I am not sure. I love the expressions flyer that comes with the Avon brochures every now and then. There are some really nice book shelves in that flyer but, I don't think I'll get em' this time.
Oh, well gotta go eat some chocolate now! Yumm

Stella and Dot Comment
Hi, I noticed someone left a comment about Stella and Dot.-probably on my 2008 post. You can find it by clicking on the 2008 link to find all my posts in that year. I received a notice on my blackberry about their comment so I haven't investigated further about which post they had left a comment on.
Anyway, I thought I'd mention this comment here because I have read alot of people's comments good and bad about Stella and Dot. It seems like their customer service isn't always up to snuff. The quality also is not what everyone expects. Hmmm what to do?! I guess keep in close contact with your Stella and Dot Rep and if there is a problem with your product pass the issue on to her. What do you think?
I better get going. It is my eldest daughter's Birthday today. While the girls are in school I must go get a few decorations and finish wrapping her presents. I guess squeekies, zoobles, and zhu zhu pets are all the rage for 7 year olds this year. Oh and also what exactly is the penguin fad about what are those things called again?- puffles?

Book in the making....
Hi again,
I will probably visiting my Blog more often for the next little while because I like to procrastinate before I do any real work. I am attempting to write a book based on "true events". My husband and I have a real interesting story when it comes to the conception of our last child who was born almost 8 weeks ago. You see, my husband had a vasectomy almost 3 years ago - after the birth of our third child. He took all the precautions and had himself tested 3 months post op. That test came back negative - meaning there was no sperm found in the semen analysis. When I became pregnant my husband thought well, I should have my vasectomy re-done. So, we investigated how we would do that. My husband called the Urologists office and spoke to the secretary there. He told her our story and she told him that because his test had come back negative and that because the surgeon performs such great operations the child is not his because he is sterile. Well, my husband and I were both shocked that she could have said such a thing. We are pursuing legal action mainly because of what stress that statement caused our family during my pregnancy. We have since done a DNA test (how awful) and of course that came back showing that indeed my husband is the father.
Well, this whole ordeal has prompted an idea to write a novel about our experiences. Should be fun writing that.
Oh, and just recently we found out that someone my husband works with went through the same thing with the same surgeon and his secretary......we may be on to something here. I know the statute of limitations is two years from the moment the women finds out she is pregnant so I wonder what is the motive of that office when something goes array?!
Well back to my main subject. Sorry about going off topic on this blog I just don't have an interest in having more than one blog to talk about different subjects so, I guess I will do it all here.
I currently do not have an Avon Representative. I guess mine quit the biz. She lives on my street but I've never met her. Her mother in-law always used to stop by and give me the brochures because she walked around the neighborhood all the time a couple times a day! I haven't seen her in a few weeks and I haven't gotten a brochure from her in a while.

Bead Party!
Well, I had a long fulfilled day. Took my two boys out. The newborn is great! He loves outings and he is still in that newborn stupor - sleep, sleep, sleep. Nice.
So, we went to speech therapy and that went great. After that I thought I might as well try and fit in one more errand and phew - I did it with no little boy melt downs.
We went to a new bead store in town. My eldest daughter will be seven in a few days and I've been preparing for her birthday. We have decided to hold the party in March so, I have a week or two to get it all set up. I was able to score a jar of beads for $20. It is probably about a 10 ounce jar. I think in terms of baby food and baby bottles. It looks like about 10 ounces. Anyway, I thought we could re-create some Stella and Dot looks for less. You never know it may turn into a family hobby! Looking forward to it!

New Baby!
Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I last posted. Wanted to share a personal story. We welcomed a new baby boy to our family January 1, 2011. He was the first baby born in our city. Very exciting- the Mayor even came to the house for a visit! His name is Owen! nick name - oh-one! I guess his lucky number is 1.
I have been very excited about some of the new products I have been testing. One being Revlon quad eye-shadow. I have the creme eyeshadow set in Va Va Va Bloom. I have been applying it with my fingers or using Que tips. I really need to get myself some more make-up brushes!
I'll share some more soon. I have to get going to baby number three's speech therapy class. Fee you Waiter.
