Strappy Shoes

Hey, Happy Belated Mother's Day!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

My kids made some great crafts and cards for me at school.  After I opened my Mother's Day gifts we went to swim class then off to the Garden Centre. We bought some Oriental Lilies : Salmon Stargazers and yellow ones called Conca D'or.  We also bought some Coral Bells (small flowering shrub) and a golden leaved Hosta ( small type).  Oh, and two tiny Lavender plants. I have never planted Lavender before.  I've read up on it and it seams finicky.  Hopefully I can figure the sandy soil situation out for the Lavender.  I would love to see it in the front of my house.  You'll notice a few posts down that I have a picture of my front yard;looking out from my front door.  I plan to put a couple of those plants down the front walk way.  I may put the Lavender in two pots, so that I can put it in the shed in the winter. Under my front window I have 3 huge Hosta's that grow great because of the shade that I get from the house there.  I spent the last day digging up the side of my walk way preparing for more plants.  I would love to just chuck all the sod I dug up in the forest across the street.  I know someone will see me and call the "gardening police" so, I will have to put it in paper bags at the end of the driveway and hope the pickup is soon.  I have no idea how often those green trucks come by to pick up garden waste.  Anyway.  Wish me luck with my gardening adventures!

My son, is off with hubby to meet our new soccer team.  My hubby is coaching this year:) Soo cute.

So, I placed an order for some awsome funcky strappy, high heeled shoes from Avon.  I have a wedding to go to at the end of May.  Hopefully the shoes come in before then.  I also ordered a chiffon polka dot dress from Reitmans.  - Online.  It was delived in less than 24 hours.  It must have came from the local store and not the wharehouse.  It fit.  I look about 6 months pregnant in it.  I guess that is the body you get after giving birth to an 11 pound baby, four months ago.  Ouch! I actually had a panic attack from the pain.  Not fun.  for anyone who says giving birth doesn't hurt too much.  Try recovering from carrying an 11 pound baby when your hips are the size of a 12 year olds.  Mother nature has a weird sense of humour. Ha.
I'm rambling.  That is the joy of blogging!!
